About this project
Metropolitan Hall was originally the Town Hall for Rockford. The 3rd floor of the structure had gathering space for up to 1500 people to hear the news and speakers of the day. The upper floors of the building have been vacant for 50 years and were converted into eight residential loft units. A steel siding material was installed in the 1970’s that destroyed many architectural details. The facade has been restored back to its original 1856 appearance. The first floor retail includes the Woodfire Brick Oven Pizza restaurant, a barber shop, and Wired Café.
