Edwards Apple Orchard
About this project
Edwards Apple Orchard suffered a devastating tornado in January 2008. For over the past 40 years the family business has become a fall tradition for thousands of people that make an annual pilgrimage to the orchard for a day of family fun and apple picking. The buildings were totally destroyed leaving behind only the memories with the strong family tradition. The primary question was how to deal with the memories and the traditions built with so many families. Should the buildings have a completely new and different look or should they maintain the original character and location that everyone had become so accustomed to?
